Agree; the dynamic amongst them all changed, and that could happen for numerous reasons. And it's almost guaranteed to change to some degree as each fish ages, and sometime it's not for the better.

whats everyone's best way to acclimate a new wrasse since they hide so well in sand...
First, not all genera sleep/bury in sand; it's entirely a matter of genus.

Second, I always advocate you QT a new wrasses 6-8 weeks prior to their addition in the DT. Then, it's best to use an acclimation box for a few days to ensure there will be no aggression issue with any established tankmates.

Once they're finally release in the DT, there's still a chance they will disappear for a few days. This is normal and there's no special measures which you need to take. If the species is of a genus which buries in the sand, it could be 2-3 weeks before they're seen.

Patience is required. :)

I have not had any problems but I have only had him a week. He is with 2 clowns and 3 Dispar Anthis.
