I think I will give the leopard a shot, failing that I really like the yellow wrasse. Started with dry rock so I have zero pods at present... Can anyone recommend a good starter culture?

You can grab some established chaeto from a local hobbyist (if not LFS). That should be loaded with pods and be a great place for them to reproduce.

Absolutely avoid; they always starve in a closed system as they need supply of food greater then we can provide in captivity.

Thalassoma quinquevittatum - doesn't belong in a reef tank; almost always aggressive and will remove the eyes from tankmates it does not like.

There is no Thalassoma species I would ever consider short of a swim tank.

H. Chrysus
P. Mccoskeri
C. Solorensis

Anything wrong with this? The only issue I see is the Melanurus and Yellow Coris seem similar. Would there be a potential for competition or aggression? Or some other problem? Can I go with all four or should I just go with three and eliminate either the Melanurus or Yellow Coris?

The melanurus and yellow coris should be fine together. I dont forsee problems with having the four on your list.

Agree; I've kept those two together just fine before as well.

I'm now thinking that for bioload reasons I have to pick one.

As juvies both will do it, but will phase it out as they mature. The melanurus may do it a little more as the horizontal stripes are more of a universal cleaning sign, but I dont know if it significantly more cleaning than the yellow coris.

Question for the experts here. I have a Lubbocks, Red Headed Solon, and a carpenters wrasse. All have been getting along fine up until recently. The Solon wrasse is chasing the Lubbocks around and keeping him at the top of the tank.

The Lubbocks seems stressed now and was just wondering what could have changed?

seems about par for the C. solarensis. Mine was ok for a few months but as soon as it was the same size as my blue side the C cyanopleura went downhill fast. He doesn't bother the other wrasse but the aren't fairies.
