The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

Pintail is one of my top 10 fav wrasse and so is the johnsonni so would have to say both. With that said if the price was right I would get the johnsonni first as it’s harder to get (for me at least).

I am a fan of the lanceolate tail over the lunate tail, so even if cost was equal it would still be isosceles.

Diamond tail over the Lyle tail huh. I like both and that is my issue.

So settling aside the pocketbook hit if you had your choice between Pintail or Johnsonni which would it be. Which one has the better temperament?
pintails can be ornery, not all, but the ones that are can be rambunctious...
i’d snag a johnson’s over an isosceles.
but the price gap between the two is outrageous, so...

I'm surprised to hear that. I've only had two but they have been the most demure wrasses I've kept.

Diamondtail flasher P. Antennuatus don’t know if it makes any difference but it came from Kenya.

That sucks! Sorry to hear that. Yeah I had a red tail tamarin ready to pick up from my LFS and was eating great. Someone left the lid open Saturday night after feeding time and when I went to pick her up on sunday we found her on the floor. So bummed.

It’s not a good feeling at all. I don’t know what it is with me and the bluestar this will be the third one I’ve lost there’s one more in the qt he found the sand so he’s in there I’m hoping he’s all good. I have them in GC now and feeding F+M but he’s in the sand so not eating at least when I’m feeding. Oh almost forget about her I have a tiny bluespotted also she found the sand the first night in the tank.
