My Isosceles is in QT an waiting to go into DT but is very personable. I have heard some a very shy.

Also what’s your process of socializing(some people don’t like the word acclimating [emoji848])them to the other wrasses ? In the pass I like to add them in the first batch of wrasses going in the tank as the ones I had where shy and being can make other wrasses take advantage of them in my experience with them but once they are comfortable it’s all good from there. I may order a male this week.

I use an acclimation box when putting new inhabitants into the DT. Some only keep in the box for a day or two but I like to keep them in there for about 7 days regardless. My Pintail went straight in with a Linneatus (a tad bigger) and a Rhombodalis. No issues whatsoever. They are in a 20L QT now and waiting to go into the DT at one time next week.

I am stocking my new tank now and am adding the more peaceful wrasses or fish first and plan to knock down my current fish stocking list in order of aggression. i.e. I am adding an EightLine flasher toward the end along with a possible C. Labouti. I also have a C. Johnsoni that is being homed right now and will go in toward the end. If I add a tang it will be last.

The Lennardi lasted 4 days. Very bummed and still bummed. Another local club member lost his 30 days later. Swimming and socializing and then bam

Yes and Ive also been told they do not last long in captivity. Somewhere in the 2-3 year mark but I don't know how true that is

Their vibrancy is more related to health and maturity. A healthy female is quite vibrant, and females are brighter than males. Males have more intricate fin and facial markings.

Labropsis micronesica is an obligate corallivore focusing on sps polyps.

Well I will be a kid in a candy store on Thursday morning as I will be getting 2 boxes (1 from LA and 1 from fishybusiness) with wrasses in them. Couldnt pass up the opportunity to get them all at the same time. They will all be females but with time I hope they turn out to be stunning males. Here is my list to arrive on Thursday:

From Liveaquaria:
Lineautus Wrasse (female)
Labouti (was labeled as transitioning)
Rhomboid (female)

From Fishybusiness:
Flame (female)
Pintail (female)

They will be going into my 240 gallon display. I will post pics of them once they arrive.

So my LFS finally got my Potters Wrasse in today...he is about 3 inches....i usually leave a new Leopard at the LFS for a week or so to start eatting and too settle down after shipping....just curious what do you guys do when your LFS gets your new fish in?? [emoji16]
