It’s a love and addiction for me. I’m now checking out thalassoma sp thinking of adding one as my last wrasse when that time comes.
My favorite Thalassoma I ever had was a male blue headed Wrasse.....the best personality. Mine was great with all my fish too

I had opportunity to get these two wrasses this weekend but did not.
I think I make good choice on the Naoko ($80.00) and bad choice on the Isosceles ($120.00)
No use crying over spilled milk. I have to make a quick decision. I will be much more prepare next time when I go around to LFS in Houston.

What Houston LFS did you spot these wrasses from?

They are from Dennis at FJW. I think it is a very good LFS.
They also have two Lineatus, one of which was a wrasse to die for. Right now I am not to the point where I can spend money on an expensive wrasse yet. If you are in Houston and a wrasse lover, you may want to go by there just to look.

Yes FJW is awesome! Is the wrasse on the right a female crescent tail? And thanks, I'll check them out this week during my lunch break :D

Lennardi: Been comtemplating on getting a lennardi. The thought of it being delicate scares me since it is pricey. I currently have sevral wrasses, including a white tail tamarin and black tamarin. Anyone here has experience with them? How good is the survival rate?
Survival rate is poor. As much as I love wrasses and as confident as I feel keeping them, it is not a species I am willing to fork over the money for. I have spent more on fish before, but it was always ones that I had confidence I could keep alive.

Currently, no. Kept a femininus fine for ~3 years, up until I moved. The new tank simply did not have the pop population to continue sustaining it, and I'm still sore about it - was turning male too.
I'll grab another at some point.

Corpus Christi is not what one would considers target rich environment for wrasses. I get whatever I can get.
Here is a small Melanurus female and a Blue Flasher. They will go into my 40 gal QT system. I have not decided if the Blue Flasher will later going into myOffice 65 gal or my Home 320 which all ready have a Blue Flasher in it.

Sorry the picture did not uploaded before.

I have a juv lennardi (6 month's) & that little madam just doesn't stop trying to sniff out pods, super super hypo - i have 2 other anampses(melanurus & femininus) & whilst they also hunt they have never been as active as the lennardi is, unless its an age thing with this one being young.
I only gave her 30h prazi as far as playing doctor goes, Is now holding/putting on weight so so far so good touch wood. Now about 3 inch & still in baby colours. Impossible to photo, is a vid back at #7684

Orion,

My in laws live in Corpus. Which stores have the best selection of stony corals or livestock?

I've been to one off Staples or Everhart I believe, where all the livestock were kept in unsightly, dirty, tanks lol. Think I saw 10 yellow tangs in a 20g.
