I didn’t realize position in the social structure would impact color, that is really interesting. I was hoping to have two flashers in my new system and I was going to make them the first two fish because I don’t want to introduce them later and stress them out. Would the order I put them in potentially impact their color/appearance down the road?

The more dominant they are, the more vibrant their colors.

Has anyone had success with fairy and flasher wrasses in cp qt can cooper. I would like to avoid copper and use cp but don't want to lose a few wrasse trying it out. I know humblefish has had varried results and was curious about others success or not

Why do all your fish look like trout?
I don't think they do well in CP and would avoid it. I would use chelated copper product if you have to use one.

For pests I would do H. Chrysus
You could do a couple of flashers and smaller fairies, like C. Isosceles or C. Brunneus for example. But really hard to just recommend some not knowing your tastes. Just needs to be peaceful tank.

I have had great results with CP for fairy wrasses. Recently treated a female flame for 30 days at full therapeutic dose without any issues. She is in my DT and thriving. Don't want to speak for @Humblefish but I think he's also had success with CP on fairy wrasses and Halichoeres wrasses.
Flasher wrasses are still very a much a no go with CP.
Scottorum and koi fairy(C. adornatus) are pretty aggressive to other planktivores.

Hi everyone! Ok update on my black Leopard I added last Wednesday... yesterday he finally came out of the sand and stayed out all day, and the same today. He ate like a pig...no agression from my Ornate....and my little baby Melegris that I added Sat is doing great....out and about all day...he is so tiny....I want to say a inch but I am thinking less than that. My established Melegris doesn't bother him at all....they all eat like pigs....so I a up to 7 Leopards....I think I will stop for now. LOL! [emoji16]

Good for you! I am glad you stuck with it. Wrasses are by far my favorite fish.....!Ok. I didn’t get it. I thought they were all ugly...too “fishy” looking. Not pretty enough. “I’ll never have a wrasse” I said. Too hard to QT. Then I saw a McCosker flaher. And loved him.
The first was sick when I got him. He didn’t last 1 day in my QT.
The second. Crushed by a rock the day I went to pick him up from the buddy I ordered him from.
I give up. Not for me.
But the LFS had one in and he was gorgeous. A baby. I HAD to try again!
Annnddd....he got velvet. I was up until the wee hours of he morning. FW bath. Reef rally bath. And a new QT. I don’t know how. But he survived. Copper and all. He made it!
Then I had my eyes on a blue star leopard wrasse. I mean...gorgeous. I saw that they were rated cook expert only“ and I certainly am not that. But I finally had decided that I was skilled enough and fish disease and had quarantine enough smaller fish, but it was worth a shot! I wanted three of them.It took me three months of having a quarantine tank ready to go to finally get three of them in! When I brought them home, one of them looked bad right out of the bag! I’m not sure it looks so great in the fish store, but I really wanted them, and it took so long for them to come in! Needless to say, she didn’t make it. And there was one that wasn’t eating great. She didn’t make it either. But the one did survive copper, and eats like a pig! She’s amazing. Her name is Fantasia.
I just felt like sharing this because as I am sitting here enjoying my tank tonight, which doesn’t usually happen. I am always too busy running around the house caring for my two toddlers. But there was nothing on TV tonight I decided to enjoy the fruits of my labor! My wrasses are just amazing to watch. Lots of activity. And both beautiful. And now I want more. Lol.
The LFS has a beautiful Japanese pintail in. I don’t know much about them, and it seems like nobody else does either. But any advice on what gorgeous brasses I could add to my tank that would be compatible with the two I already have would be appreciated! I’ll have to work on some pics with the good camera. But here is a crappy phone snap for now.

Will a pintail fairy wrasse be ok with carpenter flasher wrasse and red velvet fairy wrasse. Tank is 120 gallons and only other fishes

Use a social acclimation box. It should be fine, but sometimes red velvets can be pushy.
