A couple of suggestions.

First, don't add two McCosker's flashers. They will not co-exist long term. A better plan would be to add one McCosker's and another male of any other flasher wrasse. The result will be the flashing/displaying that you're looking for without creating aggression that will end in losing fish.

Second, if by Rose Scale you mean Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis I would not add this fish. It's very beautiful but it's also very aggressive and would be a problem with your other fairy wrasses as well as the flashers.

How big is your tank?

I have a question for you wrasse lovers. What wrasses do you know don't bother peppermint shrimp?

I have a melanarus, a sailfin fairy, and a vermiculate leopard. Also a serious aiptasia problem. A couple days ago I got in a shipment of 40 peppermint shrimp to help deal with the problem, and introduced them into a xenia forest where they have really good cover. Right away, the melanarus found and gobbled 3 of them right up. I saw the sailfin pick at one. The leopard doesn't seem to bother them.

I caught the melanarus in a sand trap last night and banished him to the sump while I figure out what to do. Moreover long term, really I am curious as to what wrasses folks have had success living with peppermint shrimp?

So jealous @Crabby48! I would think that's close to as big as he gets but obviously I don't know for sure. Even P. octotaenia doesn't get bigger than that.
He a bit of a dud. He never really flashes and when he does it’s very quick so better not blink. I figured he wouldn’t get much bigger but he grew to that size so fast it made me wonder. Definitely swims with confidence and other wrasse give him room

Any other flasher wrasses in your tank to provide him with competition? When I only had one flasher he never displayed. I was thinking the fairy wrasses in the tank would illicit displays but it didn't seem to happen. When I added a couple of more flashers it got interesting. Worth a try if you don't already have other flashers.

Most are leopards and fairy. Only have one Filamented flasher she would follow him flashing. Thinking Filamented being so much smaller may be part of the problem.
I do have to stay out of his sight or he will never flash.

Open to recommendations of flashers that will make him the star. Diamond tail is my favorite but similar in color so idk.

Definitly my favorite Vivien. Won’t sit still. Red is more pronounced on body and yellow is more vibrant and fading in the body. Thinking it’s transitioning but not sure yet

Isn't that weird? My Potter's is my most outgoing fish in the tank. Eats from my hand....well when the bigger fish get out of the way.

Beautiful fish Crabby, that Vivien is gorgeous!

He frantically glass surfs right side of tank and goes back and forth across the back. Never slows down or stops for a break. Not shy around food he is very fat.
Vivien is such a hottie. In process of upgrade then want jewled leopard and try a chaoti.
9 wrasse In a 4x2 tank is little busy plus other nonwrasse.

Great looking fish. Need to spend more time and get them eating from my hand. Tangs and fairies will eat from my hand if hungry

I've kicked around trying Chaoti for quite a while. Maybe if you have success with one you can walk me through it!

I understand about the busy tank. I have 13 wrasses in a 72x24 and I'm not through. :D

Going to a 72x24 and yup not done yet lol. They all hang out in a 1’x1’ area anyway.

Not sure how much help I’ll be. Every time I stop at TSM aquatics I tell him Chaoti. After his qt fish can survive almost anything and eat anything. But if I find one and have free time to give it the care it needs I’ll give it a try.

Any secrets getting copper band to eat frozen. Mine is strictly whats live in tank except aiptasia or eats live black worms. It watches others eat and checks out frozen the swims away
