I’m sorry to hear that. I know how much you loved that fish.

I lost my male square back anthias in QT today. He was so beautiful. :(

He got a bacterial infection and died a few hours after the antibiotic bath.

Well you’ll have to wait for the polyps to extend but here are the pictures of the unhappy corals.
Acropora:

Montipora: yes it’s not pretty now but the mother colony was awesome

Stylophora: LFS thought it was Serriatopora but it looked far too fluffy when it was happy??

Crabcakes. Isn’t it huge!

It's likely a Birdsnest of some variety, not necessarily Seriatopora. Stylos tend to have thicker branches and a lot rounder/more blunt tips than that I think.

Millepora have those long lashes on their polyps and tend to looks more hairy or fluffy in my limited experience. The corallites look right for Mille, but I'm definitely not an expert. Could be a Spath also?

I checked again and it had moved over to some of my turf algae.

Also I lost count of how many spaghetti worms I could see. Considering I didn’t transfer any sand that’s quite a population boom.

Good news. Magnesium sulfate is apparently good for you in a bath… Reduces inflammation and according to some “people” helps with magnesium and sulfate absorption. Unfortunately I decided to evolve away from a permeable dermal layer a couple hundred million years ago and thus cannot absorb minerals through my skin. Ah well. Maybe I’ll find a frog and give it a bath.
