Epoxy and Super Glue (cyanoacrylate).

You can also just use super glue and omit the epoxy.

If you have an urchin, I'd use the epoxy, too. They love frags.

Exactly. After rehoming my pincushions, the rate of falling frags has SIGNIFICANTLY decreased.

I only have one tuxedo urchin, which is harmless.

I was asking for the pro tips not the beginners guide :face-with-tears-of-joy:

I stopped using epoxy because I find it flakes off after a few months. Prefer using a lot of super glue.

I guess my question is more on the plugs. Do you leave them on or try and remove at the base. I just saw BRS completely cut off the base of the coral which seems insane to me.

Mounted half of them and moved my two old and boring acros (the ones I never mention because they are boring).

Flame fox is I think my second favorite so far. Put it on some old epoxy I couldn’t get off.

Inland cyclops. Not a big fan of green but it is bright!

Shockwave is another favorite but it disappears in blue.

Finally the PC Rainbow is insane!

I’ve done both. Same end result. I’m think the rational for snapping the plug is to prevent parasite eggs from hitchhiking.

So I guess this is better. Maybe the low nitrate was to blame for my softy and LPS struggles?

With the alk close to 10, if that phosphate decides to bottom out you can end up with some RTN on the Acros. Also, Acros are gonna start using phosphates so I'd almost expect that to start dropping.

I'd imagine it sure played a part. Softies and LPS like nitrates for puffiness. SPS like phosphates.
