There's something fishy about this build...

I'm more like you than you know......I'm a super old young teenager! Tonya always calls me a big kid! HA!

So question
What would you do if you had money but not time?
I was looking at controllers but I already have a temperature controller and water level monitor and I don't particularly care about pH.

What are you trying to accomplish?
Anything
Like maybe it’s time to toss AI aside and go for some really good lights?
Or better powerheads
Is there any tech that has really upped your reefing or is just cool?

I was initially not a fan of the overhyped Ecotech MP pumps, but I got a used MP40 and like it more than the Maxspect gyres I was using in the previous tank.

Lights-wise, I like the new Orpheks, mostly because it is a single big unit instead of a bunch of pucks. And I like the whiter spectrum. Two little bars on the side round it out.

Control-wise, I have the Hydros Minnow and a Reef Outfit smart dosing container for All For Reef. That makes life easy. The Minnow has 4 sense ports (one for the smart doser), so I can have an extra temp sensor for redundancy, a leak sensor, and in theory I'm running a sump water level monitor, although that sensor doesn't work. I like the Hydros system and plan to get more.

Speaking of which, I need to follow up with Coral Vue about that...

Tech is kindof over rated. I got on the hydros purely to have access to everything in one place. Granted some of its just off on access, but there are other apps to control those situations. I like that everything is at least being monitored and I get notifications as I see fit.
The big $ suck for me has been the MS. I admit it's great and I don't have to do water changes but it required dosers, elements and testing.
New powerheads meh, new lights, not broke why fix, new skimmer maybe since my levels are high but trying bacteria first, new return not broke.
If I had $$ not sure I'd put it towards the tanks. Everything seems OK. Would save for a trip or something nice (new fish or coral).

I am considering a big trip though right now all I have planned is a quick trip to the Channel Islands to do my first kelp dive.

Still think FIJI is the best?

These are all awesome suggestions. I have been eyeing the natura lights…

Naoko is probably the most exuberant flasher of all the fairy wrasse. Some people mistake it for aggression which why some think they are aggressive but it’s just them being flashy
I know exactly what this means. Having several wrasses the dart to a fish "look at me I'm pretty. I SAID I AM PRETTY!!!"

Wrong thread. But, I didn't feel like partaking in the other.
