Skimmer can’t hurt me anymore if it’s sitting in my closet...

My sump is now nasty and full of cyanide and hair algae but does that matter? It's still a great nutrient sink and pod producer??

Yep. You just causally have a photo of your first encounter with cyanide on your phone. Very typical and totally not uncommon for the average human.
