I started with maybe three tunicates and now I have over eight. The reason I am posting this is because I would like to know why they spread in my tank and not others.

Some are single others are colonizers. I bed you have the ones that like to be in a colony. I wish saltyfilmfolks was still active on r2rI don't remember who exactly but I heard some were they just die of. I really like the tunicates and was just wondering what they ate and that sort of stuff. The tank is about 10 months old.
I will get a picture fore you soon.
Wow neat thread. The hitchhiker was the tunicate in this scenario though. My Tunicate just Threw Up....A Live Hitchiker!
So...... I bought a tunicate. (Yea, I know), I thought it was an ox heart tunicate. Kinda just grey and lavender lines. A few hours after getting g it Home the color got deeper in the veins and the siphons a nice orangey color. A few days pass, colors get deeper and I’m pretty darned happy...www.reef2reef.com

In the tunicate.
I have purple and sulfur sponges. Some that are white or even a light brown. Mostly, they grow in places where corals can't, so I leave them along. The tunicates, on the other hand, don't care and will grow wherever they can!The only sponges that survived in my tank now live on a decorator crab.
Psssttt. Dont forget to post some pictures ;HilariousI'll try to post some sponge and tunicate pictures when I get home this evening (assuming I remember!).
He’s a beauty! I’d love one but I’m nervous since I have Pygmy gobies and stuffThe only sponges that survived in my tank now live on a decorator crab.
