And do what instead?
Not sure what type of coral the op intends on keeping but if it were me I'd invest in a good skimmer, a very good rodi unit and a quality tds meter and please don't make me dig up my "back in the day" gfo diatribe lol!!
But I will if you want me to
Swc skimmer, air water and ice ro/di/, two tds meters. One inline with ro unit, one handheld.
Mixed reef, lps and sps.
I know for myself i onky am running them til i get rid of the devil algae j have gotten off a frag from a frag swap otherwuse i agree with adam
Hey buddy. hope all is well just curious about your post. is this some algae that was on a plug and spread throughout your system then or just a random patch on a plug? I am still way more reliant on a few snails and/or hermits to clean up my rocks than anything else. just a thought.
JAyhawk I found it. the rant that is lol. if the op want to hear it ill post it.
Swc is now reef octopus? Here is a picture, don't mind the wires...this picture from when I re-setup tank after move.Ok great not too familiar with swc's so I'll have to assume it's up to snuff. I have only two questions then. At What tds do you change your di and why exactly do you feel that you need to run pellets or gfo
