Finally had a successful 5th try at a convict tang. He became the phattest convict I've ever seen. Even the LFS owner was impressed by it. It was real active but eventually bullied 2 fish to death ...copperband butterfly and double saddle butterfly. Then when I saw a beautiful Red Sea Eritrean Butterflyfish at the lfs I was going to buy.. I knew I had to get rid of the convict. Ain't taking no chances of it beating up the new butterflyfish. Sold to another reefer...he ended up giving it away to the LFS within a week. He saw how mean that sucker was lol. Another was my pretty paddlefin wrasse. Sucker was super active and pretty but it killed my blackcap basslets and any firefish I put in. It was the last straw when I saw it continuously chasing my pair of flame hawkfish. Ended up selling that mof0.

They are best in groups. At one time my yellows were Uninviting but they all have calmed down and dont care less about new arrivals
Very true. Current group is four yellows and a black tang (in the zebrasoma group). I'd consider adding another three if the prices come down some day.

My Whitetail Bristletooth tang has become the rockscape police. He patrols it day and night. Making my plan of integrating a CBB rather difficult.

I was given a lunar wrasse from a local reefer (which when told what it was I wasn’t aware it was a lunar). I put it as the first fish in a tank that will ultimately be too small for it and I now can’t add any other fish to the tank.
I tried adding a damsel thinking it would be aggressive enough to hold its own and my wrasse ate the damsel.
had a lunare wrasse for 3 months....2 of those months were in qt. the lunare wasnt happy about my melannarus wrasse and my melannarus felt the exact same way. melannarus wrasse won.

My Clarkii is the biggest pain in my you know what! Tank boss of my trigger, lunar wrasse and foxface. He leaves All of the Small fish alone. But let's these guys know he owns the tank.

I have a Mel in another tank and I guarantee they wouldn’t get along. In my case the lunar would win. It is by far the most aggressive fish I’ve ever had. I’m trying to talk my lfs into taking him.

Ya ive had a mel and lunar and there is no comparison in temperment or destructiveness. I can add fish all day and my melanrus pays no mind. My lunar would go right to work on any fish added eye balls and remove them.

My was this hogfish. It was pretty cool at first and then is disappeared. Gone, for months. I was sure he was dead. But 3-4 months later I found him in my sump. He was either in the overflow the entire time, or hiding in LR in my sump. I was really excited to get him back to the tank, and he became a nightmare. I was not able to add any fish after that. Any new fish in the tank, he was relentlessly going after them. And it's not easy to catch it in a 220 with over 200lb of LR. So I just let him be. He died eventually of old age.

My bristletooth tang Peach. She was horrible to all new fish and would get my other 3 tangs all angry and started fights between them and swam away to go chase another fish out of their spot with her tail strikes meanwhile the 3 other tangs were going at it! I was like what on earth. So I tore that whole tank up to get her out and take her to the LFS. Not a single ounce of aggression with the other tangs anymore after that and they began swimming around together! This was before my recent crash. But never again will I get one of those little demons!

Maroon is a devil without horns. They bicker, fight, bite you and other fish and very territorial
My maroon pair in my 70 are perfect! She never shows any aggression, he only does if someone is bear his anemone. My other clowns I had in my 125 before the crash were evil! Well the female was. She jumped out of my tank twice to bite me, and always bit me when I was working in the tank or replacing the nori for the tangs. When I went to feed my triggers she jumped out of the water biting at my fingers while holding the tongs!!

This is the only fish that ever bit me and removed skin !
Removed skin?? What on earth! I love these triggers and want one someday (in its own tank of course) but thats scary if it bites that bad

No, it was about 4 inches. If you are planning to get one, make sure that it's the last fish you get. They are even worse than 6-lines when it comes to "this is my freaking tank" complex.

lol I’ve never seen mollies behave like this pair. I’m not a breeder but I was hoping for some babies to transfer into my larger tank but I doubt the last one is still around. I even tried a huge gold mollie the second time and no go with that one.
