aint no way in hell im adding 100 mls of fluorine to my aquarium i dont care what this says. can this be right? i asked chatgpt, and they said i should add 6ml's to get to 1.2mg/l. 6 mls is a far cry from 100.

If you add that much please take a video of the tanks reaction.
 
I would trust ICP more than ChatGPT. ChatGPT is designed for chat and not mathmatical models. One huge thing to note is that the ICP says to spread out the 99 mls over at least 2 days. I would probably do it over a week.

To really know the right answer though we would need to know the concentration of the Flourine solution being added and the size of your tank.
 
How big is your tank?

Fauna Marin Elemental F instructions state:
10 ml per 100 l increases the fluoride content by 0.2 mg/l. Maximum daily dose: +0.5 mg/l
 
The midpoint recommended level for F is 1.25 mg/L so yours is 0.57 mg/L low at 0.68.

To increase 0.57 over 2 days based on their recommendations of ~50ml per day means you probably have about a 350L tank I'm guessing?

My math could be way off but I would trust the results just make sure you're using the product recommended or come up with your own math if a different product

you would be shocked at how accurate AI can be. look at their answer, ill paste below, they even got the back of the aquaforest instructions correct, of their recommended dosing instructions without me telling them the strength. thats pretty smart. that, and just logic says no way 100mls of fluorine is a good idea.

look at point number 1. It says 1.2-0.68=0.52. I rest my case on ChatGPT not being good at math.

i redid my test with liters, 246 liter tank, with chat gpt. it said 22 mls which is higher than i thought. but way less than 100. math sounded right

Tropic Marin requires about 3 times the amount of product be added as Aquaforest for Flourine and it looks like your ICP test uses Tropic Marin as the recommendation.

Also you still haven't mentioned the volume of water you're trying to increase

The very fist calculation is simple subtraction and it got that wrong
? thats right? 0.68 subtracted from 1.2 is 0.52?? unless im just dumb
1.2-0.68 is 0.54
 
A couple things, you are using 1.2 mg/L and ICP is using 1.25 for the desired value and you are using a product at a completely different concentration than the product the ICP test is recommending

Still it all depends on the way the question is asked.
