I just don’t like that I see so many at LFS’s as juveniles. I Wonder how honest they are about these fish becoming massive and completely losing their beauty when selling them.
In part, its up to the buyer to research the fish and realize there will be a color change. At My LFS, I had had strips of fish that showed their temperament, potential size and juv/adult colors along with price of fish

That’s awesome
Wish the ones around me would do that!

Some of my very favorites in the hobby that I actually keep in my own tanks:

Achilles

Oxymonacanthus longirostris

And a couple of dream butterflies that I’m hoping to keep one day (yeah, I’m aware that they are obligate coralivores but I’m fairly confident that I can establish them)

Your Goldflake Angel is always the highlight of your tank for me. Are they common captive bred from Bali Aquarich where you are? @Viking_Reefing
One of my all time angels for sure. Yeah, I do see a fair amount of them coming in to my lfs. I only visit one store as the owner is awesome and it’s a 7min drive so I can’t speak for the entire trade here in Sweden.

Love your Achilles!
As do I! It’s a bit of an **** though haha

One of the things that have attracted us to this hobby has been COLOR. Color of fish and coral alike but as kids, we saw fish whether weird shape or color that grabbed our attention. After a recent vacation, I saw the most fish ever and some I had to look up after a dive as I thought I saw beautiful fish before. One was the Ornate Butterfly. For me has always been the Harlequin Tusk, leopard wrasse and Mandarin Goby. There are many that fit the term : "Most beautiful"

What is the most beautiful fish you've ever seen?

Show us your Pic or even a file pic.

These two gotta be the nicest looking fish I’ve ever seen in my life… Aetomylaeus vespertilio and Chimaera monstrosa.

Liparis dennyi(marbled snailfish) probably comes in second, although a very close second.
