I’ve had an AIO nano reef tank up and running for a month now and added a couple gobies. Nutrients are stable so far. Was hoping to get some thoughts on issues that might arise sooner or later. Specs below. I am testing nitrate, phosphate, calcium and salinity. We are in the diatom phase and fully cycled.

I got zoas, a pavona frag and some LPS on a flash sale. They are on racks or in the sand bed for now and look healthy. The light is a Kessil and flow is an AI Nero. Was thinking about carbon dosing but I think I will need a stronger skimmer first. Hoping to be able to support some filter feeders like sponges, squirts, feather dusters and maybe the little yellow cucumbers. I know better than to buy the pretty NPS gorgs.

For reference I had a five gallon pico for a couple years first and learned some lessons. In the end it was overgrown with GHA. I am more or less terrified of this happening again. Any tips would be appreciated!

No pictures?
Personally I'm not into carbon dosing in nano tanks, I would prefer water changes myself. Its too easy to make a mistake in a small tank.
Do you not test alk? Its the most important for corals IMO
Otherwise it all looks good, but we like pictures

SPS and macro on the top rack, zoas on the bottom. LPS and nems in the sand for the most part. Firefish and hi-fin goby visible near the bottom, left of center. No other fish right now. Forgot I have a conch as well. The firefish slept on the sand the first night and freaked me out but I’ve read that can be normal. There is a glass lid.
