Hi, nice aquascape. What size is your aquarium? My only concern will be the Mandarin because will need a good supply of copepods to survive unless is trained to eat other type of food like misys shrimp.

Its 52l (uk) I think, the mandarin hand feeds from tweezers twice a day ,he gets brineshrimp and mysis, but we do pop in copepods on a regular basis.

I digging the rockscape !

But one thing stood out.. only 1 hermit ?!

i recommend at least half a dozen for your tank.
especially with a newish setup.
Thank you ! The tank is only about 52l I think (uk) So we didn't think we could put many hermits in ?

i was guessing a 38 L but 52 is better.
I would, theyll clean up unwanted algae on them rocks and especially mysis shrimp that gets stuck in crevices of the rocks.

i have a 303 L display with 140 L sump and i normally stock up the CUC twice a year.
- 3 dz hermits
- 1 dz trochus
- 4 nassarius (if ones i have dont make it)

Clean Up Crew - hence the name.
I strongly believe in them as they keep your tank clean and healthy as well as prevention of any possible breakouts.

We have a turbo as well, but what other snails would you suggest ? I love the hermit crabs but ours is a destructive little thing !

Looks fine to me. Except I doubt the mandarin will live very long in there. Tank, IMO is too small and too new, no matter how much you hand feed it.

Whoever told you that lied. But I wish you and your mandarin a long and happy life. 😎

Beef up your CUC and you will be fine! Aquascape looks great.
