Is this under gravel filter system? I see the powerhead with tube attached

Uhm, had to think about this a while but yes, it was. Bottom grate was made out of egg crate light defuser covered with window screen sitting on top of little pizza box "anti-crush" stands. (Had to eat a lot of pizzas to make it! A sacrifice I was willing to make.:D) Also had a canister filter.

Here another of my old tanks 2008-09 era - Current 24g aquapod with the 150w sunpod mh. This was going to be my first reef tank, but the 08-10 recession put a damper on things. I ended up selling it and moving across country.

This top picture of my tank appeared in FAMMA (Fresh Water and Marine Magazine) in probably the 80s but I don't remember. I collected most of the stuff in there including the barnacles and urchins

It looks to have been about 10 years old here. I still have that magazine someplace.

This was maybe 2008 or so but I am guessing. I asked my wife as she usually remembers her hair styles but she doesn't know either. Those lights were from the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan so that gives me some time frame.
