Anyone know of a good device for removing hundreds of invasive tiny snails from the glass. Something like an algae scraper with a cup under it to catch the little buggers? I've seen 3d printed ones for use with asterina in videos, but I'm not sure where to get one.

My tank is a little more than 2 1/2 years old. About 6 months ago, I had what I thought was an explosion of tiny snails too. Now, from the seemingly hundreds in my tank, I bet I can't find 20. They just started disappearing, and are now very few and far between. Hopefully yours will be the same. I suppose my juvenile six line wrasse could be helping.

I don't think my sexy shrimp would like it if I tossed a wrasse in there.

This sounds a lot like parasitic pyramid snails!

— did your population of herbivorous snails, and any clams decrease before the tiny snail population started dying off?

What are they bothering that makes them invasive?
Not sure about snails but I use a net to scrape asterina stars off the glass .

They are bothering me. I have hundreds of them on the glass and they get into my pumps and cause problems. I can't really drop a predator in there without it going after other stuff like sexy shrimp.

I do use a net sometimes, but they are so small that the sit on the edge of the net. I just doesn't work well.

dennerle makes one that works quite well if your snails are small enough to fit into it. a kind of shovel wheel that scrapes snails off the glass into a collecting box. Not sure if its available where you are

I had an explosion of dwarf ceriths that started getting into equipment. I just started vacuuming/siphoning them up and got the population to where it is manageable.
