Morning Everyone.. I have a tmc lps 6 lamp and its just defaulted everything to 50% through all 6 channels.
ive tried ot resaearch and used light settings from hydra 32s which is 60-70 % the blues and purples ? 40% for white as i want macro algae in the tank. 6% green. Do i leave them at 50%. or use the hydras as a bench mark?. the tank is 70cm and 45cm deep. light is at 20cm from top of water :)
I don't know if I'm supposed to just max everything out or not its a little un nerving when you cant find anyone using them.

I’m only cycling the tank as of today as i have had diy filter drama.. I e made an aio system and not sealed it down to the glass bottom and sides so when it emptied the sump as I had it set to high.. it floated off down the tank 🤣
All good, how long have you had a tank? And yes TMC should have support, allow me to look it up.

So we have water a pump and now it’s bonded to the tank (idiot) a working diy aio. So it’s running at 500lph currently just need to set the reef roller up but once it’s up to temp I’ll mix my salt in 🤟🏼
Looking good keep us updated

  • A 500 lph pump would fill a 110-liter tank in approximately 13.2 minutes (110 liters / 500 lph = 0.22 hours, which is 0.22 * 60 minutes = 13.2 minutes). This is a quick and reasonable fill time.
  • 500 lph is a relatively high flow rate, but it's not excessive for a small tank like this. The pump will likely be able to keep up with the tank's capacity.
    • If you're using a submersible pump, its output may be different than a surface pump. Check the pump's specifications for the precise flow rate.

Lighting wise I’m running at 30% currently and waiting for the par meter to arrive to test but light channels I’ve tried to research and this is the best I’ve come up with a little white light as I want mangroves and macro algae in there but mainly blues a purples :)
