Hello!

I bought a second hand TMC Signature 900 tank with original stand(90x45x45 cm or 35x17x17 inches, 47 gallons). I guess these tanks are not common in the states? In europe they are populare.

My problem is that even though the stand is level I can still slide a thin piece of paper in between the middle of the tank and the stand.(See picture). After further investigation I have found out that som partes of the corners of the stand has "swollen" due to water penetrastion(my best guess, see pictures).

So what do I do now? Would a aquarium mat solve this problem? What would you do in this situation?

Thanks in advance:)

as long as it isn't much thicker than that a mat should work. I would either go with a thicker Yoga mat or a piece of insulating board like this https://www.lowes.com/pd/Insulfoam-...ene-Garage-Door-Foam-Board-Insulation/3033278

Eh.

A piece of paper thickness? You put water in that tank, the glass will flex a bit, but wood will settle a bit, it'll be solid and tight.

If that were an eighth inch, well, then I'd recommend a belt sander, get it flat, maybe even put a new layer of ply over the top and reseal. A piece of paper is, on average, 0.05 mm thick... just not enough for me to get excited about.
