Hi

I just got a TMC V2 Calcium Reactor 1000 second hand, complete with three CO2 canisters, solinoid and PH cobtroller.

The previous owner had the PH sensor in his tank sump and not in the top of the reactor like I though it should go? How would this work as I thought it was running off the PH in the reactor, too low ph would turn the media to soup and to high would turn the CO2 off? Is that correct?

Does anyone know any good videos or links explaining how to set the reactor up with the PH controller, solenoid and CO2 canister?

Switching over from dosing Kalk as using a tablespoon a day to maintain alkilinity and calcium.

I bought an older calcium reactor that didn't have a probe. I just drilled the lid and installed the appropriate bulkhead for a pH probe, then connected it to my Apex. From my reading, people used to measure the pH near the effluent line and used that indirect measurement for control. I decided that with a couple minutes of my time, I could upgrade to modern standards for a bit less cash.
