Toad leather rot?

My toad leather coral appears to be dying. It spending more and more time in a closed position and there are black circles appearing over it. All water parameters are fine and other corals are doing well, so thinking infection or parasite?

Does anyone have experience with this type of infection?

I didnt even know they could get infected that bad. I always dip my softies in iodine so I don’t have any experience with thay
 
So it has been suggested to cut of chunks of the polyps that have not rotted, then coral glue them to areas of the tank. Has anyone propagated this way and have any suggestions?
