I noticed this spot on the side of my toad stool tonight. Is it normal?

I see the spot but can’t make out what it might be. It looks like coralline in the dark blues and I know that’s not it. Can you take a white light only pic? I agree with Mr.MojoRising though that it looks good and healthy in the pics you provided.

Here is a picture with the white lights on. It looks like it’s splitting.

I’ve never seen my toadstools split so I’ll leave this to those who know better. I think it looks healthy so if it’s splitting, it seems to be in good shape to do so! Keep us posted.

So what happens is it starts to tear and then go up, and then it will pinch a tiny piece like mine:

You can see that part im talking about how it tears and then pinches off.

My toad is going though shedding right now... And behind it u can see my koji wada...

Oh i noticed it happens when the toad reaches a certain size... like the smaller ones wont do it, but my toad there is about 1 feet across... yes its a Gignormous Toad . Its also a Original real Tyree Toad.

The main thing u should watch out for is if it gets infected, or it turns brown.
If thats the case, then its no good, and u should cut the portion out with snips.
I had that tear get infected once and i had to take the entire cap off.
