toadstool and emrald crab

was the crab trying to eat it or just hide? i went home for lunch and i seen my emrald crab up on and under my toadstool, i left him cause i thought that since my light just came on he was hiding benith and as the toadstool woke up he just rode up with it. but then i came home after work and he was still on it. i removed it it was not easy but eventualy i caoxed it on to another rock. did i do the right thing or would it have been ok? the crab did not look like he was feeding on it, but realy i dont know.

Mine will occasionally hind under my acro. As long as you see no damage then you should be fine.

I have a pair of emeralds and a large toadstool, never seen the crabs bother it or any coral for that matter. I do feed my emeralds 2-3x weekly a small piece of shrimp/fish/nori at the end of a BBQ skewer just to ensure they don't start trying to eat "non food" items.

Yeah it has plenty of food, as I feed rod's reef food.
