Hello everyone,
I am in need of some suggestions on how to remove a giant 14”-16” head toadstool that has taken over my tank. It is shading out all of my other corals, and it is time to go so I can move on with my reef in a new direction. It has attached most of its body to the rock work, and I cannot remove it without expelling toxins in the water. Anyone have suggestions for me? Here is a picture of the shroom in question

I would just rip that bad boy off then do a water change and carbon. But I guess you could also take the entire rock out of the tank and chisel it off or sell the whole rock

The rock work is epoxied together. When I set it up 2-1/2 years ago, I did dry rock, and set the aquascape so it wouldn’t tip over. Coming back to bite me in the butt.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
