Some description of your filtration and a pic of the condition might help. Bubbles covering rock isn't something that should be happening. You all keep saying that my tank is not enough aerated... Not true. I woke up today and my tank was full of tiny bubbles but my filter wasn't even in a position to make so much air, my rock became white
I'm trying to take a picture right now, while I was editing you replied but it keeps saying "image too big", a video was uploaded now. Some description of your filtration and a pic of the condition might help. Bubbles covering rock isn't something that should be happening.
It doesn't work like that, the water shoots on the water making lots of bubbles, like in LFSIs there alot of microbubbles in skimmer output?
No protein skimmer yet, I have a LOT of algaeDo you have a protein skimmer? Do you have a lot of algae?
Im only asking if I have too much air in the tank, I like air, I don't like too much to not kill corallineWell if you know what's causing the bubbles, and don't like the bubbles... I'm not sure I understand what you're looking to know
That sounds like photosynthesis not excess gas exchange. No protein skimmer yet, I have a LOT of algae
I'm so stupid... I didn't know what was a skimmer back then and it was half the price and I didn't buy it, now I can't really find oneThat sounds like photosynthesis not excess gas exchange.
Yes I have pH issues, it's always at 7.7 and impossible to riseI think people are reading into the wrong part of your post.
Let's take a step back and try to look at why more "air" was suggested.
I'm assuming you have/had issues with pH?
Perhaps fish breathing rapidly or hanging out at the top of the tank?
Photos might help. Aeration is good to a point, but to what end?
Can you elaborate?
CO² Yeah, I aerate my small bedroom everyday to decrease it but I think we are too many. I use RODI yes (from LFS) , I don't remember if I already tested it but it might be somewhere like 7.6 and I know with the salt mix it's exactly 8.4 . I'll read the textPumping more air in will not help that much with pH. Of course it's usually the 1st step people suggest.
Would you happen to know what thw c02 level is in your house? That plays a big role in pH.
What about water quality? Are you using a RODI for water? Are you purchasing from a LFS? Do you know the pH of your source water.
ItThis is worth a read to help understand what might be happening.
