So recently bought and set up a Red Sea max s 500. I am upgrading my 50 gallon cube. It seems like there is way to much flow from the return. It’s blown dunes into my sand and there always seem a to be a bit of sand flying around. I cannot find a speed adjuster on the return.. is there some other attachment to spread out the flow of something? So that it’s not so much like a water hose on full blast..
any ideas

Ive got the S650 and if it’s the standard Red Sea pump you can’t adjust it, it’s just on or off.

You can buy attachments but It’s really just a matter of adjusting the output nozzle until the sand calms down. It will settle.

You could also put some slightly heavier sand/coral bits around the corners or any areas badly affected
