Debating a reefer 250, and I have two MP40s sitting unused. Thinking opposite sides one high and front other back and lower? Alternating or facing eachother maybe? Too much flow? Any input appreciated.

Depends on what coral you have....

SPS = higher flow
LPS = medium flow
Softies/zoa/palys/mushrooms = low to very low flow

I would use them and turn them down. It's not like their power isn't adjustable to match what you have in the tank. When things start to grow in, you can crank those babies up and still have plenty of flow.
