torch issue

I bought this torch from a local reefer and when I got it, it looked full with no skeleton showing. At least I didn't notice any.
A few weeks ago I noticed early in the mornings I could see fresh exposure. I figured it was a goner, but it seems to have stabilized for now. You can see the skeleton that is showing is no longer white
There hasn't been any warfare going on with other corals. I've kept this one separated.
What's the chances it will stop going down hill?
Is it doomed?

Have you checked your tanks parameters/nutrient levels? Lighting and flow could also be a factor with euphyllia. More info will be needed sorry to say. Best of luck :)

The remaining head will survive as long as water params are good.

I guess I should have mentioned there are 12 other torch corals, a couple with a dozen or or more heads. A hammer with 30+ heads and a frogspawn with 50-60 heads. Multiple encrusting favias and chalices, and various other corals.

Usually if I have an issue with 1 or 2 corals but 50 others are doing great, then it's flow or lighting. Otherwise I let it be and let it run its course. Don't mess with a good thing I suppose is what I mean

Which lights you are using and at what settings ? I had same issue with my hammer - Newbie mistake with lighting - it was 50% gone - but with proper check its back 100% to health.

I've found with torch corals, there is so much we don't know ( me anyway) and it seems like just looking at them wrong will cause a issue.
I'm not sure if this was a fresh wild piece, or aqua cultured.
It's got kind of a unique green color and in this day of golds and yellows, I like it.

I'm using a CoralCare gen2 fixture at 70% ( 10" over the water) and a pair of Reef Brite XHO's.
