Torch problem

Not sure all I know it was for saltwater With full spectrum not quite sure what it all means I'm just a beginner at all this

That’s not a strong enough light… even thou a torch is a lps they require high lighting like sps corals..

This a daylight spectrum light which is intended to “light a tank” for viewing but it is not a coral growth light. It is primary white led with some “tri color leds” added in and you need a light that is primarily blue led with a few whites added in

Your torch very likely is going pale from not getting correct spectrum and intensity

Wrong spectrum. The light, even if white is turned down and blue increased, does not output the amount of par you need. Should be more like this

The problem is it sounds like they don't have the power output to give your corals what they need. I would look into a different lighting option geared towards corals, even if it's the inexpensive amazon lights. The light you have isn't providing what the corals need.

You don’t have dedicated blue leds intended for growth. The blue that your light contains are accent leds not growth leds

Spectrum is fine it’s just not strong enough for high light corals.. that light is good for softies at best and they would still struggle I believe… for now till you can get a better light I’d move that torch as high as possible in the tank… you want it close to that light as possible till you find a better light.

No it’s not sufficient. That is your lights moonlight. It’s probably even worse for the coral than having the main white lights on.

That light is a freshwater tank light..... corals might be able to survive, but they will turn brown and not grow. It doesn't put out the right colour to make the corals pop the way we like.
