Torch problems, help

I bought my Torch online and it arrived a day later, when I took it out of the bag it looked brown and there was only 1 singular polyp

No way to know for sure. Either way seller wasn't taking good care when they had it.

I visited the sellers store and the only torch looked healthy, so I ordered it ( I live a Florida )

its not completely dead, I would leave it in the tank for another day or two to see if it opens.
When its dead you'll be able to see the skeleton lines all the way down to the base.

Hopefully the LFS will work with you and get things sorted out.

How old is your tank and what are your parameters? Torches do better in established tanks.

You live a town over and had it shipped to you? Are you sure this is the same torch you saw in person the day before?

It could have been extremely stressed and retracted. The sellers pics are under blue led lighting, your pic is white lighting. Did you try turning on blue lights to see if the inside of the skeleton glowed at all?

It’s possible those pale green tips and purple tentacles, when retracted and under white light, could look brown or tan
