So I bought a torch from the Legendary Corals sale not to long ago along with some other items. My box came with a hole poked in at all the way through the styrofoam. The corals were a little cold but all came around except the torch. This is my first torch and not sure what to expect but after only 18 hours looks to be dying. Any help would be appreciated. It is in acclimation mode after dip so the only par hitting is about 60 to 80.
I test water and cal is 430 alk is at 9 and mag is 1350 which is what I normally run. Temp is 77.5 also normal to where I keep it. I added the video and picture with the orange filter for reference.

I actually just took it out on further inspection and smell it had BJD hopefully got it out before it spread. Now to contact them see if any of this is replaceable.

I would dip that coral in Iodine or Furan quickly, and then put back in your tank in low flow and let it recover. Is that Aussie Gold??

No it was what they call a unique black torch. It is no longer in my tank it is in the trash can. I picked it up to try a new location and it looked like BJD on top so I smelled it and it smelled horrible. I could not take the risk of the rest of the tank getting anything so I cut my losses and pitched it hopefully in time. I sent sellers an email to see if it is part of a guarantee but no response yet.

I do not blame you... Good call... BJD is bad, and can spread like wild fire to your other Euphyllia.

Do you happen to have a picture of when you first got it? Wondering the condition you received it in?

I actually did not take a picture of the coral when I first put them in but it never opened up at all. I could see the tips and a little of the mouth but that is it and I use ME coral wash off to do my dips has worked great for me.

This one, I love the look I was super excited but unfortunately was not meant to be.

I still am wondering if the hole in my box that caused the corals to get cold could be the problem? With to many temp swings that could cause BJD could it not?
