Torch showing skeleton at base of head

Torch coral showing skeleton at the base of a spitting head is this a cause for worry or is this normal when they are splitting? Picture was taken right after lights on. Once it's extended it covers the base of the head.
Phos is slightly high and I'm bringing them down but, everything else is where it should be.
