Hey Everyone! Looks like our torch were at it again! About 5 months ago, we
discovered 6 torch in our tanks that were the result of spawning. Now, 5
months later, we discovered 5 more new baby torch corals from another spawning! They're all
attached to substrate that is about 1/4" just to give you an idea of their
current size. We had green tipped from the last spawning, but it looks like
we now have some solid neon green ones too! It's an awesome occurrence
that we couldn't be happier to see and share! Here's some pics and videos of the new
torch and an update on the other ones that have been growing the past 5 months!

Here's the new torch we just discovered:

Thank you! Always awesome to see your corals reproducing!

Very neat. Im wondering if you have any idea what accounts for the difference in sizes? I've noticed in my tank that extreme differences in growth occur with the same size frags in basically the same location in terms of flow and light. Keep up the great work!

We've wondered the same thing! Yeah, ours have all been grouped in the same place, flow, lighting, etc. and we've also noticed that they grow at very different rates. One of them is several times bigger than the others that appeared at the same time. Since they were the result of spawning, it could have just been that some got better genetics than others, depending on which torch they were spawned from, etc. We'd compare it to having several siblings and how similar or different they can be, some small, some big, built different, etc. That's our 2 cents anyway. Thanks!
