Torch splitting or bail out?

I think its just ripping flesh but its hard to tell. My torches get mad if im under 1380 mag.

that head is fully bailing or has baled out.

Also looks like an aptasia at the bottom which probably is not helping.

Actually front part of the torch bailed out in February. You can see it on the first page of this thread.
The aiptasia look like thing is tube worm.

I suggest to look at some more and see if that is what you have. Chances are it is but you would be better off comparing them yourself.

How do you guys know when your torch is splitting? Had these since december

You can see the split better when the flesh retracts. Take a look at the skeleton and you can easily identify

This torch was just 2 single heads....it has grown half a dozen new heads in 9 months. Notice the base of torch is full and healthy.

How do you guys know when your torch is splitting? Had these since december

When it closes up at night you’ll see the skeleton start to pinch as one head becomes 2 heads.. you can see here the top left and bottom is splitting..
