Torch splitting or something else

I've had this touch for about 2 months and it has been good but in the last few weeks the extension had cut way back, though it's still extended all the time. I noticed the other night that it is completely white with faint purple coloration near the top of the head. Is something wrong or is this part of splitting process? You can see the heads fused together

As long as the flesh is not receding and there is no brown jelly forming I would let it continue on :cool:

That's pretty much what I've been doing. It doesn't show any otherwise obvious signs, it's always happily waving in the water all day, but just reduced extension compared to normal

Looks really healthy. Just check your parms and make sure all is good. If all is well just leave it be and monitor for anything bothering it
