Torch tip size shrinking

What makes a torch to shrink its head size, wither away and die?

The tips in this used to be very big... now very small....

Disregard the other post/questions. Just spotted Flatworms. Euphyllia eating flatworms.

Dip it to kill the adults keep dipping every week to 2 weeks to kill the new comers after you think they are all gone use flatworm killer. and if you have any other euphyllia watch out they are coming for them as well.
