Torches flesh band

Hello, I need assurance whether the flesh band on my first set of two torches are bad or hopefully just normal. I’ve bought two more torches today and their flesh band looks a lot better than my first two.

Any information will be greatly appreciated as I only have 5 months experience. The first 2 photos are the torches that I’m concerned over… (the goby I bought is stirring up ****e that’s why the tentacles are all over fyi)

Hi - right, so you want there to be a flesh band yes, you also want that band to be full. Meaning, it shouldn't show through where you see skeleton, especially at the top where the tentacles come out. Just keep an eye out for receding and transparent flesh beginning. If they're not out and fluffy or full, then investigate further.

I have 2 nicrew 30w hyperreef lights on either end. My tanks parameters are;

9 - 9.3 Dkh
1450 - 1500 Mg
440 - 455 Ca
6 - 8 Nitrates
0.05 Phos (low?)


The PAR Im not sure but ChatGPT calculated that with both lights there is sufficient light to grow sps if I wanted.

Flow looks good although I’m still tinkering with it but I doubt I’ll change it unless you’d advise otherwise.

There’s a hammer on left that isn’t opening like it used to, but one of its head is splitting so it’s probably that.

Appreciate the help :) the video doesn’t seem to work but the flow is on so the corals sway from side to side but mainly flow to the right with random bursts hitting every 5 seconds or so.

I hate to break it to you but chatgpt lied to you...
You dont have enough light for sps, not even close.. likely not enough for your euphylia either, depending on depth of your tank. Are you running them at 100%?
