Torn foot

Good morning, My Purple long tentacle anemone tore the bottom middle of it's foot. Must have not liked on the water movement after a week of doing great on the rock it was living one. After 2 days it's still deflated & not doing well.

Long tentacle anemones are sand anemones, so it will probably not be very happy on a rock. Also, a damaged foot can be pretty bad on them, so it may be in serious trouble. Can you share more about your tank, like the current parameters, how long it's been set up, etc.?

All told, it sounds like you have a pretty healthy tank. I would check phosphates also, as that can cause anemones to wander. And you may already be aware, but your purple LTA is bleached, so it will be recovering it's original color/health for a few months.

If it continues to stay deflated much longer, you may want to treat the tank with ciprofloxacin, as it may have gotten an infection on the tear.

Yeah, that's probably an important factor. I'd aim for a third of that or less. Although a lot of people will tell you that level isn't a deal breaker, I (personally) think it is much more harmful to have phosphates be that high if the nitrates are very low.
