I've never seen it do this before. It's probably sitting 3 inches thick. Is this a concern?

Mine has done this and it’s been growing! I notice it more right after I feed the trachy like I would my anemones. But double check water perameters. I don’t think it’s any thing to worry about tho these guys have a lot of personality for a coral

Yeah, almost always after I feed it, but this was first thing this AM. Water is fine, I just checked it. The thing has been growing like a weed, don't want to lose it.

Okay cool then it’s an after feeding response like mine. Also I remember I saw him do it when he first acclimated to the tank but I did a little more reading on it and it does seem very normal. Cause for alarm with this coral are when they don’t puff up at all and start to actually suck back into their skeleton structure
