I’m thinking of doing hyposalinity in my DT I’ve counted 12 rocks with corals that are attached, rest I can take out. There’s enough space in my spare tank to house them. I only have 1 shrimp and 3 crabs which will be easy to take out.
1) can I just fill the other tank with DT water and add the coral into it or do I have to cycle it first.
2) the remaining live rock with no coral will it be fine in hypo?

Firstly, why do you wish to perform hypo ?
But in that case then, yes the corals will be fine in an uncycled tank, however you will need heat and circulation , keep an eye on params as although small the inverts will add ammonia, this isn’t harmful to corals tbf but still continue with water changes.

You can perform the hypo in the tank but be ready for the detrimental effects that’s could occur by doing so...

If it were me and I wasn’t going to catch the fish, I would remove all the rock to another tank and then perform the hypo
The sand will provide enough bacteria for this to work I would hope..with water changes also at low salinity should be fine...
