I haven't been logging into R2R much in the last six months, but here are a couple update pictures. Some of my corals are doing great while I still struggle with some strange bacterial infection that wipes out seriatopora and stylophora's overnight.

Looking great, Duane. I am so far away now, I would have to plan a day trip to get over there again. I live over here in Olalla, in Kitsap County. Do you still have the Discus tank? I didn't read all of the posts.

Looking great Duane.

Was hoping to come out around the 7th and fish with you and Todd but don't think I can squeeze it in before hunting season.

Keep up the good work with the tank.

A couple weeks ago I dipped most of my LR in muriatic acid in order to kill the majanos that have been a plague for too many years. Here is the new aquascape and some more top down pics.

Truly amazing pictures. Corals are stunning.

How did the acid work on organic matter? I tried it once specifically going after button polyps and found the acid dissolved the rock and left some organic matter.
I've never had good luck with it. Always had to use bleach.

The muratic acid bath worked well. I had to do plenty of scrubbing and pressure spraying with the garden hose to get all of the sponges, majanos and the few zoanthids that were left on the rock. I have a little bit of algea growing just like a new tank.
