I haven't been logging into R2R much in the last six months, but here are a couple update pictures. Some of my corals are doing great while I still struggle with some strange bacterial infection that wipes out seriatopora and stylophora's overnight.
The muratic acid bath worked well. I had to do plenty of scrubbing and pressure spraying with the garden hose to get all of the sponges, majanos and the few zoanthids that were left on the rock. I have a little bit of algea growing just like a new tank.Truly amazing pictures. Corals are stunning.
How did the acid work on organic matter? I tried it once specifically going after button polyps and found the acid dissolved the rock and left some organic matter.
I've never had good luck with it. Always had to use bleach.
