Today after work I was changing out my filtersocks on the overflow pipes in the sump and found a HUGE flatworm. I havent added anything to this tank in over six months and most (unfortunately not all) gets dipped.

This was over an inch long. At first I thought it was Stomatella snail eggs so I picked it out to save them. I was shocked to see this guy.

Scary! I'm glad it found its way into the overflow rather than onto the mantle of my new maxima's

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I cant take full credit for the heater holder since I stole the idea from Stylaster and built something specific for my needs. I hope things keep moving forward like they have in this first year of being set back up.

Quick Pic for Todd (Tj).

You know in this hobby that you have a good bud when you get frags this size. FWIW Todd is also a great fishing buddy and all around best friend. Sorry if that sounds sappy. LOL

I made a top down viewer tonight. I used a piece of 3" ABS pipe laying beside the house, scrap acrylic and four self tapping sheet metal screw that I ground smooth on the ends. It took about 45 minute including glue drying time.

Here are some of the top downs I took. For some reason my camera didn't save a lot of the pictures I shot.

Thanks, Most of my placement choices are luck. I have to thank Thales for the tank placement idea. I mimicked his 150 faux in-wall when i built this tank.

Great pictures Duane.
I've been considering the commercial version of the top down tube, but may just do as you did.
How did you prepare the abs pipe for gluing?

Hey there! Love your tank! I'm also from the PNW. (Maple Valley to be exact.) I am currently trying to finish up putting together my first ever tank. Yours is very inspirational.
