I am planning on turning my 110 Gallon into a Trigger only FOWLR. I currently have a very non aggressive O. Niger (towards anything he doesn't think he can eat in a few bites that is) . He is about 5-6 inches in length and non aggressive to just about every species he has encountered. (Tangs, Groupers, Rabbitfish, Eels, Lions). My question is what other types of triggers would you house in such an environment. I realize that in about 4-5 years I will need to upgrade to a 200-300 to house these giants. I have been looking at Blue Throats (male) and Pink Tails (maybe one of each). From what I have read those are non aggressive (normally) towards other triggers. Thinking 3-4 fish total, size ranging from 4-6 inches nothing bigger than my current fish. Thoughts?

Well, I was able to get a hold of a 5inch Blue throat male and a 4 inch pink tail trigger. It made me realize my Niger is huge. He is easly 9-10 inches I just never realized it until I got these smaller fish. I currently have them in my quarantine tank together and plan on adding my niger in the quarantine with them once I know they are fully acclimated. I have to clear out my DT due to an ich infestation. I plan on following the 72 day fallow process and hopefully don't lose any fish in the QT while I do it. I am thinking a Powder Blue will be the next fish, if I can get the Ich under control. I need someone to clean the rocks.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
