Anyone know if blue jaw triggers will eat arrow crabs??? I had arrow crabs with triggers before and they left them alone but I just wanted to see if anyone else had experience with triggers eating them? I know shrimp is no no but nothing really about triggers and arrow crabs

Blue jaws and their other Xanichthys cousins (sargassum, cross hatch, and a couple others we don't see in the hobby) are plankton eaters in nature. I would be surprised to see one eat an arrow crab.

I kept a male blue jaw with cleaner (skunk and scarlet) with no issues.

Any trigger outside that genus would be a bigger gamble.

I have never had X triggers be a problem for anything. I have had crosshatches, bluejaw and sargassum allow peppermints and cleaners to clean them.

Next down the list are Pink Tail, Hawaiian Black which I have had good luck with but would not be surprised at all if they ate some inverts for other people.
