Here is the 8’ tank sitting where the future wall would be. We literally built the house around it.

Looking at running the triton method on my new build and want to hear from fellow reefers running this method. Are you really achieving no water changes and how long for? If starting from scratch im guessing you still have to do a few after the cycle is complete?

In general if you are running the triton method let me know how its going!
I’ve been using the Triton method with good results. You can go for long periods without water changes if your parameters stay stable and you keep up with regular testing and dosing. For a new tank, I would still do water changes during the initial cycle and stabilization period. Once the system is mature and testing shows everything is balanced, water changes can be reduced or skipped as needed. The key is consistent testing rather than assuming no water changes will always be necessary.

Its coming up to that time where ill be finished with early cycle and planning to start up skimming, the refugium, icp test and see how nitrates etc come down from there. I excpect ill need to do a few water changes to get things stable.
