Hi Randy,

could you take a quick pic at my Triton test and let me know what you think? I took this water sample and sent it to Triton shortly after I lost half my fish in a short amount of time and experienced some coral bleaching.

Thank!

It generally seems OK.

Do you dose iodine?

Do you use any white media or phosphate binders?

Yes, I dose 2 Little Fishes Iodine supplement. I noticed they reported it as high so should I stop dosing it?

Yes, I ROS Phos remover in a 2 little fishes reactor and change it out once a month. I also use BRS ROX carbon in a reactor and change it monthly as well.

What could be the potential sources of the elevated element Li? is it anything to worry about?

No worry. Likely your salt mix. many people are far higher without issues.

The levels of lithium in seawater are very low, and it is not a very potent ion in how it impacts biological systems. It looks very much like sodium, but is present at way, way lower concentration.
